I had the last of the opera performances and DanceWorks with our guest choreographer all weekend (which feels like it was so long ago...) Fri: Dance Midsummer Opera Sat: Dance (6 hours) Nap Opera Sun: Dance Family Opera Strike. Sunday we had only two hours of dance then an hour and a half free to be with my family then the LAST SHOW and then strike. Meh. I was happy to see my Mommy. So here are the pictures I promised:

Midsummer has begun.
Learning about all sorts of crazy things like how to say words.
Also learned that there will be a pre-show in which I get dressed on stage and do makeup and such. Reed estimated 40 MINUTES ONSTAGE BEFORE MY FIRST LINE. WHAT?! Yeah. That should be interesting. Also learned that I get to koala all over Lysander during the fight before he dumps me and holds me underwater for several lines... so much crazy fun. The costuming has also been quite fun. Here's a sneak peak of Puck from the underwater photo shoot this morning. The shoot was for the poster. Hopefully we'll get the design soon. It'll be so cool.

Speaking of photo shoots, I've been doing this fun thing called dancing which is both exhausting and invigorating. Anyway, we had a photo shoot for the poster design for our DanceWorks performance and apparently some of mine were really cool. We also took shots that we could purchase for portfolios. I just hope we get to see them soon! Another reason we had the shoot was for publicity for the dance program. Apparently they're going to select a photo or two to use in brochures and in ads for the dance department and for UWEC as a whole. AND. The photographer sent three photos via email to both Julie and Reed and one of my pictures was the one on top. Pick me! Pick me!
